NAME: Simone A. Rolle-Graham
EDUCATION:
Lyford Cay Primary School
St Andrew’s Secondary School
Dalhousie University, Canada
University of Manchester-Manchester School of Physiotherapy, U.K.
University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, U.S.A.
WORK HISTORY:
Grantham & District General Hospital, Lincolnshire U.K – Rotation Physiotherapist
Manchester Chiropractic Clinics-Greater Manchester, Stockport & Oldham U.K. – Pilates Based Outpatient Physiotherapist
Doctor’s Hospital, Nassau, Bahamas – Rotation Physiotherapist
PILATES: In the U.K. I began training with the Australian Physiotherapy Pilates Institute. After settling in home in the Bahamas I once more sought to continue my pilates education under Polestar Pilates in Miami, Florida.
PHYSIOCARE REHAB PHILOSOPHY: “Scientific knowledge applied with compassion.” My job can be hard at times and I hope not to become what some patients in England called a “physioterrorist”. I will try to apply my science, theory, and manual skills in a caring, yet effective manner customized to each patients’ goals and needs.
PHYSIOCARE CLIENT SATISFACTION AMBITION: That every client arrives here as a patient but leaves as a friend.
HOBBIES: Reading, movies, pottery, pilates, indoor rock climbing, great eats, drinks and company!!
FAVORITE FOOD: Anything that tastes great, though I do enjoy Thai food. I also have to mention that the only food to cause my greatest hunger pains and cravings EVER while studying and living abroad was cracked conch-BUT- I only treat myself to it once every two weeks!!!
FAVORITE MOVIE: Lol!! It is SO ridiculously silly and old now, but I love it – “Zoolander”.
FAVORITE PLACE: This would fall under three categories.
Rest and relax – any Family Island. Shopping – New York. Exotic destination – India.
FAVORITE COLOUR: Yellow, jade green and of course….baby blue.
THE BEST THING ABOUT MY JOB: Physiotherapy is really a unique profession. It’s a science but yet an art, while also being practical and social. So many things are being tapped into in order to obtain great results – a fully rehabilitated mind and body.
FUNNY FACT: The name “Simone” means “to be heard” so listen up if you want good results!!!
PROFESSIONAL GOALS: Personally – always to do better and learn more while expanding the scope and potential of rehabilitation. Generally, while physiotherapy is truly a gem of a profession with so many specialty interest areas, I am working toward my manual therapy certification and later orthopedic specialization. I hope to educate all persons about what I do, and inspire people to enter this great job!!
